Sarah and Barry wanted to keep their elopement at Hotel Peter and Paul intimate, so they decided on a self-uniting wedding ceremony. Yes - that is a thing! But let's not skip too far ahead. They got ready at Hotel Peter and Paul. Sarah put on her short, tulle, puff-sleeve dress and pink veil. Barry had a beautiful dark blue suit with a gorgeous pattern on it. If you're going to elope - make it extra fun! They popped champagne and ate cake by Bayou Saint Cake for breakfast. Hey, there are no rules here.

Since they were the only two at their wedding, they wanted to have a nod to family in some way, so Sarah included special touches with heirloom jewelery and coupe glasses.

Like I said before, Sarah and Barry went for a self-uniting ceremony. It was just us 3 in the church. They each wrote their own vows. There was laughter and tears and lots of feelings - if you me, you know this is my favorite! Give me all of the emotion!

A kiss so good - it made the veil fall off!

We walked to their home to pick up their pooch Gus, who also had a special collar made by Doris Ione.

Sarah is the queen of elopement photography, and I was blown away that she asked ME to photograph her own elopement at Hotel Peter and Paul. What an honor!
