Get ready for one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever photographed, this movie theatre wedding in Chicago is off the charts. Christina + Manny held their ceremony at The Logan Theater, an old classic Chicago staple for silver screen viewings. Believe it or not, they got married while it was still OPEN for regular matinees in the other viewing rooms! So offbeat and cheeky, can you imagine catching an afternoon movie only to accidentally walk in on a wedding? Personally, I would lose my mind with delight.
When their guests arrived, they pregamed in the lobby before finding their seats to enjoy a highlight reel of images projected onto the movie screen showcasing Christina + Manny’s relationship. The slideshow also showcased hilarious photos of the wedding party, leaving everyone in stitches, it was so well done. The wedding began with flair and Christina was escorted down the movie theater aisle. The mood in the room was jubilant as everyone focused in on their heartfelt and hilarious vows. Culminating in a rocking first kiss and a celebratory chambong sip, the theater erupted in cheers and everyone loaded onto a party bus covered in graffiti to continue celebrating.
When you meet at Bonnaroo, get engaged in Iceland, and get married in a movie theater, you sure as hell don’t have a boring wedding reception. Christina + Manny picked the perfect venue for their unique style, a local music venue called Bottom Lounge.
For entertainment, they had a Talking Bands/Daft Punk cover band, and during a break, Manny jumped in with his band and played a few songs. The crowd went wild! Daft Punk helmets were quickly produced and Christina + Manny had the wedding mosh pit party of their dreams. This movie theatre wedding in Chicago was a wild ride from start to finish!
P.S. Check out another wedding for a couple of music buffs here!
